The Hot also comes in HSS configuration but only preinstalled on guitars, not sold in retail boxes. They have a higher output, and the High-E pole is slightly raised for even level on these too.
Needless to say, These are the go-to for overdrive. The overwinding does not drive them into humbucking territory. The Bridge is nice and aggressive. The are most likely the replacement for the Hot Jeff Beck noiseless.

The Gen.4 has now Alnico 5 and are more hotter than their N3.s Not so vintage sounding anymore. as the treble is slightly lower and the mids more present but warmer compared to the Vintage Noiseless. The Tone roll-off is more aggressive on these. You will find it needs a compressor at times. They still retain some sparkle on full tone. But a little far cry away from its previous rendition.

These are not so hot as you think. You can crank out some nice vintage tones out of these. But can sound harsh on mids. If you dig the Texas Special, these are up that alley. They sound a little bit different since they have ceramic magnets. Stick 500k pots on your guitar if you want them brighter. Introduced in 1999, the were sold until 2024, Almost went off the market around the time Jeff beck passed away.

Keep in mind, these pickups are tall. make sure your cavities are able to take them.

Labeled SPLIT COIL STRATOCASTER

These came quietly with little advertisement and were quickly discontinued because of design issues.
Noiseless are usually stacked coils, but the Super 55 are two side-by-side coils that acts as an normal Humbucker. The problem with this is that in between the coils is a little deadspot that can be noticed when you bend the G-string over it while on neck pickup especially. The volume drops when the string hits that deadspot.. Sound wise they seem fine, but if you are a heavy bender, i would stay well clear of these. Jazz players might find these working ok, but how many plays Jazz on a Strat?
But obviously, Fender quickly saw these as an failure and took them off the market pretty quick.
